Some of the Foundation Directors met with Brian
Treon, MD, and Ti any Hollar, RN, earlier this summer,
to see the new Stryker Emergency Room Cart that was
given to the hospital through the Foundation. Last fall
Dr. Treon presented the Foundation Directors with a
challenge: He would donate one-half of the funds for
the new cart, which was on the Foundation’s Annual
Fund Goals list, if they could raise the additional funds
by Dec. 31. The board accepted the challenge, and
thanks to their work and the generosity of community
donors who made restricted donations for this project,
the additional $2,800 was raised. From left, Roger

Foundation Directors had the
opportunity to meet with Lori Blackburn,
EMT-P, Director of Fayette County Memorial
Hospital Emergency Medical Services, to see
the new jackets that the Foundation recently
purchased. The 25 jackets meet the American
National Standards Institute guidelines,
provide high visibility and are constructed
of durable material to help protect squad
members when working around glass and
torn metal. The cost for these jackets was
